Parenting Groups

The Women's and Children's Health Network provides free parenting information and guidance.

Child and Family Health Service

The Child and Family Health Service provides free, state-wide services by qualified nurses, medical staff, social workers, physiotherapists and Indigenous Cultural Consultants.

Ask your Child and Family Health nurse about groups for new parents.

Playcentres

Playcentres are for children from birth to five years and are predominantly in rural areas where numbers are too small to operate a viable preschool. Parents of children under three years of age are expected to attend with their children.  Attendance of parents with three and four year old children is optional.

Playcentres offer one or two sessions per week. Sessions last up to three hours. The program focuses on children's development through play

Playcentres are for children from birth to five years and are predominantly in rural areas where numbers are too small to operate a viable preschool. Parents of children under three years of age are expected to attend with their children.  Attendance of parents with three and four year old children is optional.

Playcentres offer one or two sessions per week. Sessions last up to three hours. The program focuses on children's development through play
