What it is

LSD (or 'acid', 'trips', 'blotters') is one of the group of drugs called 'hallucinogens'. LSD can cause dramatic changes in a person's mood and perceptions, including causing hallucinations. A hallucination is seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting or feeling things that do not exist. The full name for LSD is Lysergic acid diethylamide.

The law

LSD is an illegal (illicit) drug in Australia. It is illegal to import, supply, manufacture, possess, sell or use LSD.
