Slip, slop, slap
24 Jan 2005

This time of year can be very dangerous for Aussie kids. The thing from outer space can really get you and make you very sick!! What am I talking about? The sun of course!

Summer time in Australia is a great time of year - long days, warm nights, time to spend outdoors with your friends and family doing all sorts of fun things. But remember to 'Slip, Slop, SlapWrap' to keep your skin looking and feeling healthy.

After all you don't want to be a 20 year old with the skin of a 60 year old do you? Worse still, you could get skin cancers from the sun. Even young children can get skin cancer - make sure you’re not one of them.

Getting a tan is not a cool thing to do. So remember the slogan:

  • Slip on a t-shirt.
  • Slop on the sunscreen.
  • Slap on a hat - wide-brimmed is the best so that your ears are protected too.
  • Wrap on the sunnies to protect your eyes.

And have a happy summer!!
