Anxiety is when this fear becomes a little stronger and lasts longer. When someone suffers from anxiety, there may not be any thing there at the time to trigger the fear response. It could be a fear of something that may happen or something that has happened. When this anxiety becomes really bad, the person may have an anxiety disorder.
There are different types of anxiety disorders. Social phobias are one type and this can make a person feel uncomfortable in public settings, like riding on a bus for example.
