Head lice and school
09 Sep 2013
Head lice can spread easily at school, where children may be in close contact with other children, perhaps when they are working on a project together.
Head lice do not cause health problems, but they can be very itchy.
If your children have head lice, it does not mean that they are dirty. Head lice are easy to catch and most families have them at least once. They are usually easy to treat.
If your child has head lice, make sure that you tell the school. They will keep your name confidential, but they can then tell others in the school that they need to check their child's hair for lice.
